How Jamie works

Plants first, always

A plantsman first

Every project starts with the plants: what will thrive in that soil and light, and how plants will look together through every season, not just on planting day.

Grown responsibly

Form Plants is peat-free, and Jamie's planting favours resilient, long-lived plants that suit a changing climate and support wildlife.

Gardening for everyone

From the RHS Chelsea Flower Show to a single border, the aim is the same: to make gardening feel possible and to share the joy of growing.

Today

Between the Eden Valley and Surrey

Jamie divides his time between the Eden Valley in Cumbria, where he is making his own garden from scratch and sharing it on Gardening with Jamie on YouTube, and Surrey, home of Form Plants.

Alongside the nursery and filming, he works on planting projects across the UK and abroad, from private gardens to large-scale installations.
