Bespoke planting projects
For larger gardens and longer projects, Jamie Butterworth works with you over months or seasons, from the first site visit to planting day and beyond. Each project is shaped around the site, the people who will use it and how it should grow, with plants grown and sourced by Form Plants, his peat-free nursery.

Brands, events and installations
Living sets and installations at scale, planned around a hard deadline and a life for the plants afterwards.
Public and shared spaces

Questions
Frequently asked questions
How much does a bespoke project cost?
Every project is priced by proposal after a first conversation and site visit. The fee depends on the scale of the site, the number of visits and how long the project runs. For a single private garden, planting plans start from £3,500.
Where does Jamie work?
Across the UK and internationally. Jamie is based between the Eden Valley in Cumbria and Surrey, and travel is included in each proposal.
Does Jamie do hard landscaping?
Jamie's focus is planting. Where a project needs hard landscaping or construction, he works alongside your architect, garden designer or landscaper.
How long do projects run?
From a few months to several years. Phasing the planting lets a large site develop in stages, with visits timed to the seasons.
Have a larger project in mind?
Tell Jamie a little about the site and your timescale, and he'll be in touch to arrange a first conversation.
